Ever since I saw my first small block of ‘Marra Mamba’ in the 1970’s I have loved the extravagant patterning and sheen of this material.
The silica rich medium means that if the prepolish stages of the cutting are not right, the piece will not progress to a mirror like polish.
I cannot look at a piece without searching for a semi-revealed landscape or geological lesson and when it hits you, you wonder why hadn’t you seen it before.
